FAQ

Common questions about high intensity care.

What qualifications do your high-intensity care workers hold?+
All our high-intensity support workers hold relevant clinical competencies verified by a registered nurse — including ventilator care, PEG feeding, complex bowel management, and seizure response. Their competency is assessed and signed off before they work independently, and they are supervised by our registered nursing team on an ongoing basis.
Is high-intensity support funded at a different NDIS rate?+
Yes. The NDIS funds high-intensity daily personal activities at a higher rate than standard personal care, reflecting the additional training, clinical skill, and supervision required. If your plan has been assessed as requiring high-intensity support, this rate will be specified in your plan.
Can high-intensity support be provided overnight?+
Yes. We provide both overnight active support (where a worker remains awake and available) and sleepover support (where a worker is present in the home overnight) depending on your assessed needs. Both options are available for participants who require around-the-clock care.
How do I get high-intensity care included in my NDIS plan?+
You will need supporting documentation from a health professional — typically a doctor, specialist, or registered nurse — confirming your complex care needs and the clinical supports required. Your support coordinator or Local Area Coordinator can help you request this for your plan review.
