About This Service
Community Nursing Care
Our registered nurses deliver clinical care in your home, seven days a week including weekends and public holidays. We handle wound management, catheter and stoma care, PEG feeding, medication management and reviews, and ongoing health monitoring for participants with complex medical needs. Every nurse on our team is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds a current practising certificate. Clinical care should not require a hospital visit — we bring it to you.

FAQ
Common questions about community nursing.
Are your community nurses registered with AHPRA?+
Yes. All nurses providing clinical care through Hermitage Care are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold current practising certificates. You can verify any nurse's registration at the AHPRA online register.
Can community nursing be provided on weekends and public holidays?+
Yes. We offer nursing visits seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays. Clinical care does not pause on a Friday — your nursing schedule runs consistently through the week.
Is community nursing covered under my NDIS plan?+
Yes, if your plan includes funding for high-intensity daily personal activities or nursing care. This sits under Core Supports. Some participants also access nursing under Improved Daily Living depending on their plan structure.
What should I do if I need nursing care urgently?+
Contact us directly on 0426 710 210 and we will arrange a nurse as quickly as possible. For medical emergencies — chest pain, difficulty breathing, serious injury — always call 000 first. Our nurses are not an emergency service.
